IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - September 16, 2007

The meeting of the Irish Cultural Society was called to order by Gene Logan,
President.
An opening prayer was given by Sister Carmel.
The minutes from the June meeting were read and approved.
There was no Treasurer’s report as the outgoing treasurer, Bob Slattery, was
not in attendance.
Bob Barron was elected treasurer, and will assume these duties.
Kay Delaney, Membership chairman, reports two new members.
Susan Feeley, Scholarship chairman, reports that matters pertaining to
scholarship are in the planning stage.
There were no other committee chairmen present---and no reports.

Gene announced that the programs for the year were filled. The October
speaker will be a playwright from Ireland.

New business included announcements of these forthcoming dates:
Irish Heritage Day: March 9, 2008 at 12 Noon at San Antonio College.
St. Patrick’s Day dance: March 29, 2008 at St. Mark’s Hall.
The Christmas party will be held on January 4, 2008. at the Fort Sam Houston
Golf Club.

The business meeting was adjourned at 3:40 PM.
Following the business meeting, Bob Barron reported on his recent trip to
Ireland.

The program was given by the Inishfree School of Dance.
