IRISH CULTURAL SOCIETY MEETING - May 21, 2006

This month's meeting was called to order by President Lou Kelley
at 4:20 pm. After Lou made two announcements, neither relating to
ICS business, Sister Carmel gave the invocation. Lou then
announced that the slate for the ICS election will be in the June
newsletter. He suggested that we dispense with the business
meeting until after the program, which the members agreed to.

At 4:25 pm the trio, Sally's Garden, began their program, despite a
fiddle whose fret broke just prior to the beginning of the concert.
However, they were able to continue for over half an hour,
playing a medley of traditional Celtic, bluegrass, and their very
own compositions.
We broke for refreshments for not quite half an hour, after which
the business meeting was held. Kay announced that we had 26
members and 6 guests present. Reading of the previous meeting's
minutes was dispensed with. Bob gave his treasurer's report, and
said essentially that "after all is said and done", we have
$8372.68 in our current working budget.
Raffle prizes were won by Ethna, Kay, Mary, and Tom, and the
meeting was adjourned before 6pm.
